It's a new system, it's called Ouya & even though not as bad a name as Wii or Wii-U, it doesn't have the benefit of the Nintendo before the Wii (although, that benefit may not work the 2nd time over with Wii-U), so, these guys may need to pay developers to come aboard, at first.

Who gives a crap how they get games & developers on board.. I mean, nobody complained when MS were paying for exclusives & exclusive content, like the massive fail of $50 million for some extra gameplay sections in GTA4, & the like.
Not to mention MS are still paying developers for the same fickle crap....like Activision's deal with COD content coming to 360 a "Whopping whole month" before going to PS3.

Nintendo only did this to themselves, in regards to poor developer support for ALL there systems since N64. They screwed ALL these developers in the past, over & over again...Charged them massive prices for development kits for NES, SNES, etc, & then gave them no development software or support...also, they screwed them over with high prices for licenses to use there proprietry cartridge format & decided to try holding onto the long outdated format (for that very reason) when CD&...
If we didn't expect graphical improvements, we would all still own a NES for a sidescrolling 2D games, & a PS1 for our 3D games.

Unfortunately MS are undermining what console gaming is all about. I mean, they are going to be overcharging for the console by a huge amount, & the fact is, that once you sign there contract, the machine is not yours until the contract is up & fully paid.
I like just simply walking into my gamestore (after saving my pennies for my hobby), & walking out with a product that I OWN.
So, Naughty Dog & Guerilla helped to design this thing......Hell, I can't wait to see what these guys are gonna be able to do with this monster.
It would be nice to see Insomniac come back home to PS exclusitivity, & knock us out another Resistance using Guerilla's engine, & maybe they could put more attention & focus into a new Ratchet.

Yep, Sony's controller superiority took over from the SNES. Before Sony "INOVATED" the whole videogame industry, Nintendo made the best controllers for there systems. Then PS1 came along, & Nintendo lost the plot with the awkward & horrible N64 controller, then things didn't improve when they refused to add a 2nd analogue stick to the GC's controller (which was another design travesty), & things only got worse with Wii's cheap attempt, & suck-sess, ...

Controller looks awesome as is, the only thing I would love is 6 face buttons (like Genesis/MD had) to make fighting games better, also, make the PS4 logo light up with LED lights, on both controller & console.
And last, but not least, but not gonna happen.....Put a damn joystick on the digital pad, to make it like a mini arcade cabinets joystick. Even making the actual stick from stainless steel. This would be awesome for SF, MK, Tekken, SC, DOA & such.

I mean, I don't mind the digital games I have on the HDD's of my 2 PS3's & 360, in fact, it is great to have games in the system, as it allows you to play on, without wasting time changing game disks.
But, I want physical media for as long as possible, as it is actually possible to get something back for the games I don't plan keeping in my collection, I can sell or trad...
The problem Steambox has, is consumer brand recognition...Simple fact is that 90+% of people & 99% of casuals don't know who the f$#k Valve is, now that is a major, major issue, as Apple, Sony, MS, & other big brands are well known by everyone, so when Sony entered the console marker, they already had a MASSIVE advantage, as EVERYONE knows the Sony brand & for the most part, they are trusted as reliable & at the forefront of technology. Same goes for Apple & MS.
I would say the heavily rumored $429 smaller hdd version, & $529 bigger hdd is close to the money, & for me, is reasonable....either way, I'm getting the big sucker at midnight launch, without question.
